The Animal Services Division promotes public safety and the humane treatment of all animals while encouraging responsible pet ownership through public education and enforcement of local and state laws. Animal services also responds to reports of sick or injured wildlife.

If you have Lost a Pet:
- Act quickly. If you have lost pet, please notify Animal Control as soon as possible. In the event that an officer is unavailable at the time of your call, please leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Be sure to provide us with a detailed description of the missing pet and a phone number where you can be reached.
- Use Social Media. Put this information along with a photo of your missing pet on your Facebook page and ask family/friends to share. Share with other Facebook groups such as Cape Cod Missing Pets.
- Don't give up. Put up flyers with a photo of the missing pet along with a contact number while you search the area where the pet was last seen. Be sure to speak with neighbors and people in the area and encourage them to report any potential sightings.
If you have Found a Pet:
- Caution. Please use caution when approaching any animal.
- Report it. Contact Animal Control as soon as possible with a description of the animal and a contact number where you can be reached. In the event that an officer is unavailable at the time of your call, please leave a message and someone will get back to you as soon as possible.
In an Emergency:
Emergency animal calls may be directed to the Falmouth Police Department at (774) 255-4527 (then press 0 for a dispatcher). An Animal Control Officer will then be notified.
