Wastewater Planning

The Board of Selectmen formed the Water Quality Management Committee in 2011 to serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Selectmen in the process of drafting a Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan and other related activities. The Final Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan (CWMP) and Environmental Impact Report were submitted to the state in October 2013, and implementation of the plan is well underway.  The most recent step in the wastewater planning process was the submission of the Draft Great Pond Targeted Watershed Management Plan to the state for review.  The Water Quality Management Committee's website provides links to planning documents, meeting agendas, minutes and other important updates about the Committee's ongoing activities, including the ongoing shellfish pilot project, permeable reactive barrier evaluations and others.
