Campaign Finance Reports
The primary purpose of the campaign finance law is to provide public disclosure of money raised and expenditures made to influence Massachusetts elections, with the goal of transparency in the electoral process.
New requirements of the Campaign Finance Reform Law require local election officials to scan and post all campaign finance reports on municipal websites within 30 days of a filing deadline if $1,000 is raised or spent in a reporting period.
