Purpose
The five-member Cable Advisory Committee (FCAC) is appointed by the Board of Selectmen to ensure that the provisions of the Town's cable television contract(s) are implemented and plays a significant advisory role in the process to negotiate and approve new contracts. The FCAC assists in dispute resolution and serves as a liaison between cable customers and the cable company for questions regarding service contracts, unresolved billing errors, and persistent repair problems. Falmouth currently provides a non-exclusive cable franchise license to Comcast. Satellite television providers are not required to have a license.
Contact Us
The FCAC acts as an ombudsman for Town cable subscribers on matters such as questions regarding service contracts, unresolved billing errors, and persistent repair problems. If you have a complaint or concern regarding your service contract, unresolved billing errors and/or persistent repair problems that you have been unable to resolve with Comcast directly, send an email to the FCAC describing your complaint or concern in detail.
Any member of the public is welcome to attend any of our meetings. Our meeting schedule is listed above.
The FCAC is available to meet with community groups and organizations to provide information about cable services. To schedule a meeting, email the committee.
Per Federal and State regulations, the Cable Advisory Committee has jurisdiction over cable TV only. We do not have authority to intercede on problems involving internet access, satellite TV, or voice telephone service.
