1. Where can I get a fishing license?

A list of open shellfishing areas can be found at Falmouth Town Hall or online here.

3. Where do I get Shellfish and Herring Permits?

• *2021 Shellfish Permits will only be available by Mail* NO WALKINS
• 1. Photo copy of driver’s license
• 2. Self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope
• 3. Phone number and your Falmouth residential address
• 4. Check made out to; Town of Falmouth –
•            Mail to: P.O. Box 904, Falmouth, MA 02540
•                 a. Resident/Taxpayer $30.00
•                 b. Senior- 65 or older at the time of issuance $6.00
•                 c. Non-resident $100.00 money order ONLY
• 5. If you need a new holder, add $1.00 to check
• **Note: Last year’s Permit (2020) are good thru Feb. 28, 2021
• Go to: www.falmouthma.gov for open and closed areas and regulations
• *Look for an online option coming in late February

4. Where do I get a copy of the shellfish and Herring Regulations?

General regulations are posted at the Town Hall, Falmouth Main Public Library, East Falmouth Library, North Falmouth Library, and West Falmouth Library. Open Area lists and maps are posted at Town Hall, Megansett Harbor Parking Lot, West Falmouth Harbor Boat Ramp, and Seapit Landing in Waquoit Bay.
