[ARCHIVED] Trash Collection Delays & Missed Pick-ups

Trash Collection Delays and Missed Pick-ups

March 2, 2022

Dear Falmouth Residents,

In recent weeks, Public Works has been receiving an unusually large number of complaints regarding missed household trash pick-ups by the Towns curbside collection Contractor.

Public Works is working with the collection Contractor on getting caught up with missed collections and returning to normal operations.

We would like to apologize for any inconveniences that these missed collections may have caused.

As a temporary measure, Public Works is opening up our Waste Management Facility to Falmouth residents for the purpose of bringing household trash (no MassDEP banned items) that has been missed by the curbside collection Contractor.

Falmouth Residents will not be charged for dropping off their household trash at this Facility.

This Waste Management Facility household trash drop-off is temporary in nature and will remain in effect until the collection Contractor is back on a normal operations schedule.

Thank you for your patience during this time.

Peter M. McConarty,

Director of Public Works
