Curbside Trash & Recycling
Residential Curbside Trash & Recycling Collection serves most houses, condominiums, and apartment buildings with fewer than five units by a weekly curbside service which is financed by town property taxes. Per the Town's contract for collection services (6/1/22-6/30/27), Section 4.11 Maximum Number of Receptacles and Trash Volume: Each residence "shall be allowed to utilize no more than two 32-gal barrels or one 64-gal cart for each collection..." Weight of individual trash receptacles shall not exceed 50 pounds. Trucks will collect between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.
When a scheduled collection day falls on a holiday, that day's collection and all remaining collections for the week will be delayed one day.
The current Town of Falmouth observed holidays are as follows:
New Year's Day
Martin Luther King Jr Day
Presidents Day
Patriots Day
Memorial Day
Juneteenth
Independence Day
Labor Day
Columbus & Indigenous People's Day
Veterans Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas
When one of these holidays falls on a normal pick-up day, regular collection will take place the following day and this will continue for the rest of the week, including Saturday. Sign up for email/text alerts & notifications regarding delayed trash pickup or other information in our NotifyMe Center.
