The EPA is requiring the Falmouth Water Department to survey all water line material.
The Falmouth Water Department (FWD) is required to develop a materials inventory of all water service lines served by the FWD. Service lines are the pipes that connect the water main in the street with the pipes in your home. The FWD’s water service line inventory is a requirement of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Lead and Copper Rule. An accurate inventory of water service lines is important to identify all service line materials.
