Fall 2024 Falmouth Shellfishing Areas Openings
Fall 2024 shellfishing areas opening dates are now available.
The West Falmouth Harbor Family Area will open to recreational shellfish permit holders beginning at sunrise on Saturday, November 2, 2024 on Saturdays and Sundays only.
For current shellfish areas including scheduled openings and closings, please visit the Open Shellfishing Areas page and the November 1, 2024 Open Areas List.
Some shellfishing areas on the South Coast (Vineyard Sound) side including Great Pond, Green Pond, and outer Great Harbor Woods Hole, will open at a date yet to be determined by the MA Division of Marine Fisheries. Please check back later this month for updates.
