Please see below for two updates for recreational shellfishing in the West Falmouth Harbor Family Area.
The last day the area will be open for the current 2024-2025 shellfishing season will be Sunday, March 23rd, 2025.
Prior to the area closing for the season, from sunrise to sunset, recreational permit holders only may harvest the permitted limit of oysters from the West Falmouth Harbor Family Area on the Wednesday dates listed below. Harvest on these days do not count toward the regular weekly limit. Please note that this extra limit is only for oysters, not other shellfish species.
