The Town of Falmouth in cooperation with US Fish and Wildlife Service is implementing a controlled burn at the Coonamessett Reservation property located west of Ranch Rd. and south of Route 151 today, March 19, 2025. The approximately 22-acre burn will be conducted by Star Tree Wildfire Protection to enhance the existing sandplain grassland habitat and will also serve to control invasive plants and reduce fuel loads.
