At the most recent drought task force meeting held June 9th, 2025, the MA Drought Task Force Team announced the Cape Region would remain in a Level 2 Significant Drought. The Town of Falmouth Water Department follows the State of Massachusetts’s recommendation and guidance on drought restrictions.
Currently, our water restrictions in Level 2 Significant drought restrict outdoor watering, which means no irrigations systems should be active during this level of drought restriction. Gardens may be watered with drip irrigation only or hand watering only at this time.
