Eversource is working on a new submarine line between Falmouth and Martha's Vineyard that requires installation of duct banks in Falmouth roads and the Shining Sea Bikeway between Stephens Lane and Mill Road/Surf Drive.
Week of Monday, October 27, 2025
From October 27 through November 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the Shining Sea Bikeway will be closed between Ter Heun Drive and Depot Ave for crews to make manhole adjustments. Please use Palmer Avenue as a detour route, with reentry at Ter Heun Drive and Depot Avenue.
The following week, crews will continue working on manholes along the bike path between Depot Avenue and Locust Street. The bike path will remain open for use during this time.
Approved work hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday. Occasional work may extend beyond the approved hours due to unforeseen circumstances, based on approval from municipal staff. For real time construction updates, please view online interactive construction map.
At this time, the construction will not interrupt your electrical service, and all people working on this project are Eversource-approved contractors and carry proper identification. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the project, please call 1-833-836-0302 or email at ProjectInfoMA@eversource.com.
