Jose

Jose was located about 165 miles South of Nantucket at 8 AM this morning...

Winds are near 65mph with a pressure of 976mb or about 28.82”. Jose has been weakening and beginning to turn northeast. Winds will gust to 55mph on Cape Cod today with up to 60mph on Nantucket. Some coastal flooding and surge from 1-2 feet along east and SE facing coastal sections. Rainfall of 2-4” is possible with heaviest amounts over Nantucket. Jose may meander around to our south for few days while weakening.

While the current track of the storm takes it further away from Cape Cod, citizens should remain vigilant and ensure that all loose objects have been secured in their yards.

There are no plans at this time to activate the Regional Emergency Shelter System.
