Public Health Advisory
Updated 8/6/19: There have been three additional positive test results for Eastern Equine Encephalitis in Falmouth this week. Two of the samples were found in a mammal-biting species of mosquito, therefore the risk to humans has elevated slightly. As always, we advise using an EPA-registered insect repellent and to follow other prevention methods, please visit https://www.cdc.gov/easternequineencephalitis/index.html or https://www.mass.gov/service-details/eee-eastern-equine-encephalitis for more information. The official press release from our department can be read here.
