Due to recent water and meat tissue samples taken by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries, oystering will not be open as scheduled in Green Pond on November 1, 2019.
Additionally, the Commonwealth is conducting follow-up water samples and we anticipate revised openings for Green Pond and possibly Great Pond for quahogs starting November 1, 2019.
To review, there is NO commercial or recreational oyster harvest in Green Pond until further notice.
