PRESS RELEASE
August 11, 2021
Town Counsel Frank Duffy, who has served the Town in that capacity since 1983 (part-time 1983-2001 and full-time 2001+), has indicated that he will be retiring from his position in the coming calendar year. Frank has provided extraordinary, dedicated service to the Town as Falmouth’s Town Counsel for 39 years as of the end of 2021 and is viewed as an exemplary, highly experienced professional among his peers in municipal law. His well-earned retirement is indeed bittersweet to those of us who have had the honor and privilege of working closely with him in service to the Town of Falmouth. The search for a qualified successor as Town Counsel will indeed be daunting.
We are now embarking on the formal search process for the Town Counsel position. I am thankful and appreciative to have Frank Duffy’s assistance, guidance and leadership as we move forward with this important transition. No definite timetable has been set at this time, as this will be determined by the unfolding of this search process.
