Tropical Storm Henri
This storm is forecasted to impact our area on Sunday and Monday (8/22 & 8/23). All boaters are encouraged to monitor the storm predictions daily until it passes.
If the storm is expected to bring Gail Force winds or higher, boats on moorings should be removed from the water if possible.
Other common-sense items to be considered:
- Add additional mooring pennant lines
- Add chafe gear to pennants
- Increase the length of pennant, if possible, without affecting other vessels
- Reduce windage by removing all canvas, dodgers and Biminis
- Remove sails and sail covers
- Remove or lash down items on the deck
- Ensure your bilge pump is working property
- Ensure your batteries are fully charged
- Ensure your vessel insurance is up to date
