TS Henri Update
Based on the most recent NHC storm predictions the following actions are being advised:
Moorings:
- If you are able haul boat out of the water, if not:
- Add additional mooring pennant lines
- Add chafe gear to pennants
- Increase the length of pennant, if possible, without affecting other vessels
- Reduce windage by removing all canvas, dodgers and Biminis
- Remove sails and sail covers
- Remove or lash down items on the deck
- Ensure your bilge pump is working property
- Ensure your batteries are fully charged
- Ensure your vessel insurance is up to date
- Do not attempt to ride out the storm onboard
Slips:
- Add additional lines. Place lines high on the pilings to account for the expected 3-5 storm surge.
- Reduce windage by removing all canvas, dodgers and Biminis
- Remove sails and sail covers
- Remove or lash down items on the deck
- Ensure your bilge pump is working property
- Ensure your batteries are fully charged
- Ensure your vessel insurance is up to date
- Do not attempt to ride out the storm onboard.
