Over the past several weeks, Republic Services, the Town’s curbside trash and recycling contractor, has been experiencing delays in their collection of household trash and recycling. There are several reasons for these delays including COVID-19 mandatory guidelines, temporary substitute drivers that are unfamiliar with the collection routes, equipment breakdowns with unavailability of repair parts due to supply-chain delays, and internal organizational challenges. Town management and DPW staff are working with the contractor to help mitigate inconvenience to residents. We appreciate your patience as the contractor works to resolve these matters and return to the normal schedule.
