Screening My Ascension

Sharing Kindness presents "My Ascension" a film to spread hope and fight suicide.  Free showing on Tuesday, April 12th at 5:45pm at Falmouth High School, 874 Gifford Street, Falmouth.  Expert panel Q&A to follow immediately and mental health resource tables available.  The film tells the real-life story of Emma Benoit, who was left paralyzed after a suicide attempt at age 16, and now uses her experience to spread awareness about youth suicide and help others find hope.  It also highlights the stories of two young people who died by suicide, and the devastating effects on suicide loss survivors - the family and friends left to grapple with their loss - offering information on suicide prevention measures.
