As of sunrise July 12, 2017, the shellfishing rain closure will be lifted. Due to a fuel spill in Falmouth Harbor on July 11, 2017, shellfishing will remained closed in Nantucket Sound from Nobska Light House to Falmouth Harbor and from Falmouth Harbor to the west jetty at Bournes Pond. All other regular summer shellfishing areas in Falmouth are open as of sunrise July 12, 2017.
