Water sample test results from Chapoquoit Beach processed on 8/3/22, indicated elevated bacteria present in the ocean water. We’re awaiting further test results, but per procedure with current guidance, no swimming signs are being posted. Staff on duty from 9 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. will ensure all swimmers attempting to enter the water, and those entering the parking lot, are made aware of this exceedance. Additional information, and updates, will be posted as they become available to Beach Department staff.
