Flyerfor March 1st2023

Don't let an injury lead to an opioid addiction.  Please join us on Monday, March 1st from 6-7:30 p.m. at Falmouth High School Auditorium for a presentation on The Impact of Sports Injuries on Student Athletes and Exposure to Substance use Disorder.  Dr. Daniel Muse, an Emergency Room Doctor, will be the keynote speaker.  Dr. Muse works closely with local communities and high schools educating students, faculty, coaches and parents about concussions and substance abuse.  Cory, a National Honor Society Student, will share his journey from an injury suffered as a high school athlete being prescribed opiates and his eventual overdose which left hi permanently disabled.  The Falmouth Police Department will provide a mobile trailer which houses a mock teen bedroom setup, filled with a variety of devices a teen might use to hide drugs and paraphernalia.
