JUNIOR COMMERCIAL SHELLISH PERMIT LOTTERY
JUNIOR DIGGER (16 AND 17 YEARS OLD ONLY)
The town will hold a lottery to award one (1) new commercial shellfish permit in 2023. The lottery will be for junior diggers only. Applicants must be 16 & 17 years of age only. To qualify for the lottery, Junior Diggers must file a commercial permit application with our office no later than Monday April 24, 2023, at 3:00pm. All applications received by that time and date will be entered into the lottery and one person will be selected for the permit. The lottery will be held at the Marina Building, 180 Scranton Ave, Falmouth, MA 02540 at 3:00pm on April 28, 2023. The lottery will be open to the public for viewing. The successful applicant will have to provide satisfactory proof of residency in Falmouth for 6 months, proof of age, copy of their state shellfish transaction card, and pay the annual $300.00 permit fee prior to issuance of the town permit.
