Water sample test results from Old Silver Public (paid parking lot side) processed on 6/29/23, indicated elevated bacteria present in the ocean water. We’re awaiting further test results, but per procedure with current guidance, no swimming signs are being posted. Parking Attendants on duty from 9 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. will ensure those entering the parking lot are made aware of this exceedance. Additional information, and updates, will be posted as they become available to Beach Department staff.
When the County Water Testers shared this news, we stopped charging and alerted staff to tell all beachgoers.
