On March 13, 2025, the town received approval of its 2024 Open Space & Recreation Plan from the Division of Conservation Services (DCS). The plan includes a number of actions for the town to take over the next 7 years that will support the creation, maintenance, and promotion of active and passive recreational opportunities, preserve critical natural resources, and continue the enormously successful open space protection efforts of the past.
