TOWN OF FALMOUTH

Gus Canty Community Center to Serve as Warming Shelter 

on Sunday, January 25th

 

Due to the expected snow and cold weather, the Town of Falmouth will make the Gus Canty Community Center (790 Main Street, Falmouth) available as a warming shelter on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Gus Canty will open from 8:00am – 4:30pm. The recreation programs scheduled from 11:00am to 4:30pm are cancelled.

 

The Town is asking residents to stay off the roads once the snow starts on Sunday morning so they can be efficiently treated and plowed.

 

The Town will provide access to drinking water but food will not be provided. If you need to use Gus Canty as a warming shelter, please bring food for the day. Gus Canty will close at 4:30pm on Sunday. 

  • Gus Canty Community Center, 790 Main Street
  • Warming Center Open 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Please bring your own food
  • Please avoid driving during snow event
