Effective sunset on October 11, 2018 the waters of:
- Vineyard Sound
- Nantucket Sound
- Bournes Pond
- Eel River East
- Eel River West
- Seapit River
- Waquoit Bay
are closed to shellfishing until further notice per the Massachusetts Division of Marine Fisheries due to anticipated excessive rainfall.
