The 2019 summer beach season has ended for the beach department. This summer was one to remember with great weather and very little rain.
All beach department staff have returned to their winter schedule or to school. All beaches are open and free but will not have any parking attendants or lifeguards until next year.
Portable toilets will remain in the beach lots for a few more weeks but all bathhouses will be closed. Beach concessions will remain open at the discretion of the concessionaire.
Beach trash will continue to be picked up by the DPW. Beach chair reservations will be suspended until next summer.
Some jellyfish stings have been reported at some south facing beaches.
