Updated 9/19/19: There has been an additional positive EEE sample collected from a trap on Walker Street. The sample was collected on 9/12/19 and found in the mammal-biting mosquito Aedes vexans. Due to the large window of time between the previous positive sample and this recent positive sample, there is no additional truck spraying recommended at this time. Contact the Cape Cod Mosquito Control Project at (508)775-1510 or the Falmouth Health Department at (508)495-7485 if you have any questions, or visit the DPH website on current WNV and EEE activity. As always, we strongly recommend that residents use EPA-approved repellents and wear long sleeves and/or pants if outdoors to prevent mosquito bites.
