[ARCHIVED] Grocery Stores Ordered to Limit Occupancy

State Orders Reduced Occupancy at Grocery Stores - Shoppers Encouraged to Change Habits

Commissioner of Massachusetts Department of Public Health has ordered grocery stores to limit occupancy to 40% of their maximum permitted occupancy level as documented in the occupancy permits. Falmouth Health Agent encourages local shoppers to avoid peak shopping times which are generally weekdays from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Avoiding these peak shopping hours will help reduce lines and facilitate social distancing at the grocery stores. Full details of Commissioner’s guidance are available HERE.
