“No Truck” and “Local Deliveries Only” plan in the downtown area

In order to reduce thru trucking on Main Street, The Town of Falmouth has initiated a “No Truck” and “Local Deliveries Only” plan in the downtown area to discourage large trucks from traveling through the downtown village area.

Beginning immediately, trucks will not be allowed on Main Street between Palmer Avenue and Gifford Street unless they are making local deliveries within this area.  “Thru Truck Route” signs have been posted at the Hospital intersection (Ter Heun Drive and Jones Road) pointing toward east Falmouth.

“Thru Truck Route” Signs were also posted at Jones Road and Davis Straits (stop & shop) intersection directing trucks up Jones Road to get to Route 28 (Palmer Ave).

“Thru Truck Route” signs were posted at Main Street and Gifford Street leading trucks up Gifford Street and away from the downtown area.
