The Town’s of Falmouth and Mashpee now have approved by-laws prohibiting the operation of PWC as defined in 323 CMR 4.03 on Ashumet Pond. As required the by-laws have been approved by Municipal Law Unit of the Office of the Attorney General and by the Colonel of the Massachusetts Environmental Police. (MGL Chapter 90B-11 & 15.
The by-laws are effective as of May 18, 2021. Violations are punishable of a fine of $50.00 for the first offense and up to $300.00 for any subsequent violation in the same calendar year.
