Starting Thursday, July 1st registration will be open for the Beach Dept.'s swim lessons. Coming back after a one-year hiatus, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and lifeguard shortage, we are currently able to offer multi-level swim lessons at 4 of our ocean-facing beaches and preschool lessons at Grew's Pond inside Goodwill Park. We will also be offering 2 sessions of our Lifeguard Training Course for those age 15+ to become certified. See the "documents" section of our website for course descriptions & registration forms.
Enrollment will be first-come, first-served at the Ellen T. Mitchell Bathhouse, 56 Surf Drive. Payment accepted is cash/check. The office is open 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily, and lessons will begin Tuesday, July 6th.
