What is the Community Preservation Act?
The CPA (Chapter 44 B of M.G.L.) is legislation that Massachusetts cities and towns may participate in if they wish. It is a way for individual communities to preserve resources in 4 categories: open space, historic preservation, community housing, and recreation. Falmouth adopted CPA in 2005.
