Since her days as an undergraduate at Saint Michael’s College, Suzie has been engaged in projects and pursuits aimed at strengthening individuals and the communities in which they live. After graduating college, she spent five years in Portland, Oregon working with homeless and at-risk youth before returning to Massachusetts to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Boston College in 2001. Following her graduate studies she was employed at Gosnold-Thorne Counseling Centers as a clinical social worker.
Suzie has been with the department since 2007 and has developed a strong knowledge base of the vast array of social services available in Falmouth and on Cape Cod. Her strong community partnerships, an awareness of how to navigate complicated systems of care, and training in mental health, allows Suzie to empower residents to move their lives in a direction that improves their quality of life.
