    • Boat Shrink Wrap- drop-off program runs April - July at Falmouth Waste Management Facility.

Our next Fix-It Clinic will be on February 21, 2026, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, at St. Barnabas Church, 91 Main Street, Falmouth, MA. Pre-registration is required to reserve a space at the clinic.

Many Bulky and "Hard to Recycle Materials" are accepted at Falmouth's Waste Management Facility.

The following materials are collected and held temporarily for transport to an appropriate recycling facility. Many items are accepted free of charge and others require a recycling fee, so plan ahead and check the Fee List.

  • Automotive Oil & Anti-Freeze
  • Batteries (all types- including automotive, household, marine, rechargeable, etc.)
  • Books (Hardcover & Softcover)
  • Clothing & Textiles (Baystate Textiles, Salvation Army & American Red Cross boxes)
  • Electronic Waste (includes computers, CRT screens, TVs, etc.)
  • Fluorescent Light Bulbs
  • Food Scraps (see Food Scrap Composting for details)
  • Mattresses & Box Springs
  • Mercury-containing Items (pre-2008 thermometers, barometers, manometers, Neon lights, etc.)
  • Propane Tanks
  • Scrap Metal
  • Swap Shop (see swap shop page for details)
  • Tires
  • White Goods

Special Collections

The DPW frequently holds special or seasonal collections of certain materials. Look for announcements of these collections on the Town website, in "The Enterprise", and on our Facebook page Falmouth Recycling & Solid Waste . Special Collections held at the Waste Management Facility at 458 Thomas B. Landers Road include Holiday String Lights, Boat Shrink Wrap, and Rigid Plastics.
