Housing Production Plan Information (2024)

In February of 2008, the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) (now known as Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC) enacted the Housing Production Plan (HPP) regulation 760 CMR 56.03(4). An HPP is a proactive strategy for planning and developing affordable housing and is certified by DHCD (now EOHLC). The term of a Plan is five years. Falmouth’s current certified HPP was drafted in 2018 and expired January 2024. The 2024 HPP was adopted by the Select Board on March 25, 2024 and the Planning Board on March 26, 2024. It was sent to EOHLC for review and certification on March 29, 2024. EOHLC approved the HPP on May 10, 2024. Falmouth received their 2-year HPP certification approval letter on October 21, 2024 from EOHLC. Temporary Safe Harbor two-year period is from July 29, 2024 to July 28, 2026. 

The Final Housing Production Plan has been approved!

The Planning Board and the Select Board approved the Plan in March. The Executive Office of Housing & Livable Communities approved on May 10, 2024!
