Town of Falmouth Opioid Abatement Funds:
The Town of Falmouth issued five renewal grants and four new grants for the 2025-2026 cycle to local agencies utilizing the opioid settlement funds. Largely based on the information gathered throughout the community engagement process, the Town has executed grant agreements with the following organizations:
WellStrong-RENEWAL $15,000 for a Peer Wellness Coaching Program. A SAMHSA developed evidence-based program to support individuals in recovery from substance use disorder.
Behavioral Health Innovators: APG/Recovery Build-RENEWAL $30,000 to support their outpatient treatment and recovery after-school program for youth aged 13-18.
Duffy Health Center-RENEWAL $50,000 to support their mobile outreach program R.E.A.C.H (Respectful, Equitable, Access to Compassionate Healthcare). This program has 3 staff members: A Recovery Support Navigator, a Case Manager, and a Harm Reductionist.
Parents Supporting Parents-RENEWAL $40,000 for Sober Living Scholarships and Support Services Program for Falmouth residents.
Aids Support Group of Cape Cod-RENEWAL $50,000 to support their community-based harm reduction services which include community Narcan training and distribution, Sober/recover home Narcan training and distribution, Fentanyl and Xylazine test strip education and training, HIV/HCV screening and linkages to care, mobile outreach, short-term health navigation, POST=post overdose support team, and stocking and monitoring municipal SamBoxes (opioid overdose rescue boxes).
BTEO/Belonging to Each Other - NEW $25,000 for BTEO Housing and Case Management for Falmouth People in Opioid/SUD Recovery
Gandara/Falmouth Recovery Center - NEW $15,000 for Falmouth Recovery Support Center (RSC) programs
ROAR - NEW $2,000 ROAR (Ride for Opioid Addiction Recovery)
Sharing Kindness - NEW $35,216 for Bereavement Support for Young Adults, Children and Families Impacted by Loss from OUD
